Behold Ambush Beetle - My Venom Shake

Found this on the net...

If recent reports are true, televangelist Pat Robertson may very wel have some of the strongest legs in the world. The 76-year-old claims he can leg press a massive 2,000 pounds. This feat of strength is possible, he says, due to "rigorous training" and his special formula "age-defying protein shake."

I mean I've been joking about the venom derivative
found in his protein shake (and pancakes) for a while, and this just seems to confirm it.

Well school started back up this week, and I'm already working as hard as a one-legged man in an ass kicking contest.  I was hoping to do more frequent postings, but the way things are going, I'll be lucky just to do one once a week.

High Five!

Scott! - God text-messaged me the other night, and I have found a new vacation destination!

Another great guide about traveling is here

Hmmm and travelocity says a trip from Dulles to Athens would be in the $1,400 range for March right around Spring Break time....

Good and Bad News on my quest for Coke II.  First the good news, Coke actually answered my email!

Thank you for contacting The Coca-Cola Company, Mr. Magnus.  We
appreciate your interest in Coke II.

In April of 1985, we introduced a new taste for Coca-Cola.  Consumers
had shown a preference for this new formula in extensive test-marketing.

During the period after the introduction of the new taste of Coca-Cola,
when the original taste was not on the market, consumers displayed the
most phenomenal level of affection for a brand in marketing history.
Responding to the deeply felt desires of our most loyal consumers, we
reintroduced the original formula as Coca-Cola classic.  This original
formula quickly regained its number one position in the marketplace.

Unfortunately, Coke II is not being distributed nationwide, and in
fact, we have ended our marketing of the brand.  It didn't meet our sales

We hope this information is helpful.  Please visit our website again

So, as you can see the bad news is that it doesn't sound like Coke II is available after all.  I just wish he could have clarified if ending the marketing of the brand including overseas marketing.

Before I wrap this post up I figured I would point out a new blog on my list of links  called Dappled Things.  Its written by a priest in Northern Virginia has some great stuff under his best of posts

It's Always Cthulhu

Thanks to Heather, I am now able to rediscover a cartoon I remember watching in the 80s called the Inhumanoids.

I found this in one of the reviews on Amazon

Think of this series as "Cthulu Lite," with Lovecraft-esque creatures bent on world domination, the only thing standing in their way being a small group of environmental explorers.

Isn't it a little weird that even when we're not purposely trying to do something involving Lovecraft or Cthulhu, we end up doing so anyway?

Drat and Curses

In my continuing quest for Coke II, I figured I would send an email to Coke to see if they have any information to help me obtain what I seek.  Here is a copy of the email...

I have been a long-time fan of Coke, and I've heard stories about the second Coke recipe released around 1985 called "New Coke." I've always believed that the entire line was discontinued, however while I was on the internet the other night I heard that it was still sold in certain markets outside the US as "Coke II."

As a Coke aficionado, I have always wanted to try this different recipe, and so now I hope to have that chance.

Is it true that Coke II is still being sold?  In what markets?  Is there any way I can have some of this product shipped to the US through Coke?

That was about two weeks ago, and no answer...those bastards.

Yes Yes - I finally posted a trip report.....but that's further down the page...Right now I have a new mission in life!

For many years I have heard of a legend.  A legend so...legendary that only the ancient ones, the one's so old that they walked with the dinosaurs have tasted its glory.  Even if you are lucky enough to find one of these ancient ones today, they would never be able to convey their experience to another.

What is this mystery I speak of?  First some history for the blissfully ignorant.  Long ago God created the world's most perfect beverage.  He called it Coke.  Then during the dark times, the Evil One created a drink that would challenge the perfection of Coke, called Royal Crown.   Royal Crown sucked.  Then the people of earth created Pepsi, they actually preferred the taste of Pepsi to Coke.  Then in a bold move God allowed Coke to spawn, and thus created NEW COKE

However NEW COKE was never appreciated, and hidden deep within the earth, thought by some to never be seen again.

It has been my dream to seek out a full uncontaminated can, or bottle of NEW COKE and try it myself.  For many years I have searched, but without any succes.  Now new evidence begins my quest once again.

For late one evening while upon Wiki-pedia, a web site that speaks only truth, and never lies I had a shocking revelation.  New Coke was renamed COKE II in 1992, and continued to be sold in reclusive locations all around the world.

Aparently one of these locations is US Territory American Samoa.  My quest is to travel to this mystic land, and retrieve one of these cans myself.

According to travelocity a plane flight to Samoa from LAX will cost me aproximately $1050, and a flight from Norfolk to LAX shall cost me $200.

Thus making the Coke II that I will purchase the most expensive soft drink ever at $1251.

Wednesday Night:

Had only about 2 hours to make it from Pembroke to Patrick Henry Airport during rush hour, but through some miracle I made it on time.

The plan was to leave from Patrick Henry, and go to Cleveland.  However since Patrick Henry Airport is only slightly larger then a bus station, I had to go North by Southwest through Georgia.  Getting checking in was easy, and the flight was nice.  Knock on wood - but I've never had any trouble traveling by air.  Whats even more astonishing was that Scott and I traveled on an international flight, at Dulles, on a holiday weekend and encountered absolutely no lines whatsoever.  I'm sure that miracle is up there with the parting of the Red Sea.

Hit Cedar Point.  Rode the second tallest, and fastest roller coaster in the world.  It launches you from 0-120 in 4 seconds, and then up a tower 410ft tall, and then vertically drops you back down.  Friggin Awesome!!

The whole ride was themed to look like a dragster, and they had rock music about driving while we were in line.  - Can't Drive 55 - Ahh Yeah.

Unfortunately the Millenium Force was closed - Drat and Curses!

Thursday Night

Drove about 8 hours to arrive in Philidelphia.

Hit Wizard World PA - Played Horror Clix (demo), got Hush 612, got all Superman/Batman issues I needed, and muchos swag.

Hit Pat's King of Steaks - the original philly cheese steak.  It was here that Ben and I learned of their secret - THEY SUCKED! If this craptastic cheese steak was the original I don't have a clue how they caught on.  Don't be drawn in, even though they carry my name I do not endorse them heheh.

Wizard World Part II

Walked across the street to the Redding street Market.  What an awesome place to eat.  If your ever in Philly, skip the cheese steaks, and head here.  The market is like an indoor meat and fish market, with all sorts of food stalls set up so you can grab lunch.  No chains here - a very unique selection.

Saturday Night

Did a Jillian-like place late a night.  Ben and I succeeded in a CONFIDENTIAL MISSION that was of such CONFIDENTIALITY that even we didn't know the details of the CONFIDENTIAL MISSION.  Scored an Over-Under Shot called a Bull Buster which consisted of Red Bull on the bottom, and Jager on top.  We even got to keep the glass.  I also played some weird horse breeder game, where I made a racing horse called "Love Child." Love Child lost her first race, so I had to shoot her.

Went to New Jersey.

Saw the Trenton Bridge

Went to Great Adventure.  Rode the world's tallest and fastest coaster.  This one launches you from 0 to 125 in 3.4 seconds, and up a tower 425ft high.

I've Eaten 4 Kinds of Meat Today - I'm a True Renaissance Man

Had probably the best Memorial Day cookout I've ever had yesterday.  Coronas Hamburgers, Hotdogs, Chicken Wings, and Brauts.  Could Life be Better?

Yes it can - when you top off all that with a chocolate fountain.  Awww Yeeah!

A Thing of Beauty

Well I had a bigger entry, but Blogdrive managed to screw up and lose it on me.  Tomorrow I'm off to Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New Jeresy.  I'll post again if I make it back alive...

Until then...Later Bitches

In a car, in a dark parking lot, on a laptop

Come One Come All!!!  ITs the Fight of the Century!

In this corner - the Dark Foul Creature from the Pit of Bottomless Evil....Wachovia!!

In the other corner - The Colossus of Virginia Beach - Neptune!!

Place your bets now!!!

Been getting alot of geeky stuff done this week.  Plans are set for Wizard World at the end of the month, which will include excursions to hit a few theme parks along the way.  The highlight of the parks will be a coaster that will launch me from 0-120 mph in 4 seconds, and then up 400 feet into the air...hotness.

I also decided to clean out my closet and found all of my SCA armor and stuff.  I also realized that my roll of foam was taking up a bunch of space, and I cut it up...next thing I knew I was pulling out the gorrilla glue, and padding up my armor.  So after about 4 years I have a complete set of armor for the SCA .  My SCA bug comes and goes about every spring, first I think of how neat it is, then I realize how geeky it is, then I put those fears of judgement for my geekyness aside, then I realize how much of an Asshat the local groups around here are, then I usually drop it until next spring.

What is an Eight Letter Word that Begins with B

I like these kinds of emails.

Dear fake Wachovia people.  I am a cotton farmer from northern Maine.  I don't know what your talking about.  I don't need any security.  You gave me a checking account, and said it would be free.  But then you charge $40 buck if I use the atm, or go inside.  You guys are dicks.  I hereby cancel my fake Wachovia account.  I'm going to give my all my money to the guy who sent me the fake bank of america email.  At least bank of america gives good service, even if they are trying to scam me.
